The city of Euharlee (pronounced You-Harley) takes its name from Euharlee Creek, which in turn comes from the Cherokee name Eufaula, meaning, “She laughs as she runs”. It is a bedroom community of Cartersville, which is located 9 miles (14 km) to the east. They are connected through Euharlee Road. It is the third largest city in Bartow County, and is home to both the oldest covered bridge in Georgia and Georgia Power’s Plant Bowen.

You’ll love the quiet charm of The Euharlee Covered Bridge, is the state’s oldest remaining covered bridge as well as the nearby picturesque 1850s village. The Bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and part of the Georgia Covered Bridge Trail. Besides the bridge and village, tourists and locals alike enjoy tubing, kayaking and canoe down the Etowah here during the warmer months.

Euharlee is a charming place to live! Come see why it has been continuously occupied since 800 B.C.!
