Cartersville is a vibrant city located in the rolling hills just north of Atlanta. It is the gateway to the metro area and to the North Georgia mountains with easy access to I-75. Established in 1850, the city has a significant amount of history as well as many cultural, recreational, and educational opportunities. Known as Georgia’s Museum City, it is home to Tellus, Booth, Savoy and Bartow History Museums. Recreational and cultural opportunities abound in Cartersville:
